Abstract
N-Pentenyl esters, which are readily obtained by mild esterification of the anomeric hydroxy group of sugars, can be efficiently used in glycosidation reactions, and they appear to be less prone to armed–disarmed phenomena than their n-pentenyl glycoside counterparts.Keywords
