Abstract
The authors present a monolithic 10 GHz voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) using an LC resonant circuit for tuning. The basic approach for designing this fully differential VCO will be described, followed by practical modelling considerations, and an explanation of experimental results. Two methods of tuning the resonant frequency will also be addressed with respect to their impact on circuit performance. Keywords
