Kernechtrot: A COnvenient Nuclear Stain After Ferro- or Ferricyanide Reactions

Abstract
In a recent report Jirge et al. (1976) discussed problems encountered when safranin O or basic fuchsin are employed as counterstains after application of ferrocyanide or ferricyanide. It seems therefore timely to call attention to the method recommended by Romeis (1948), which has worked well in our laboratory.
