Alteration of the Orbicularis Oculi Reflex by Acoustic Neuroma

Abstract
Orbicularis oculi reflex testing by electrodiagnostic techniques has documented both trigeminal and facial nerve involvement in five patients with acoustic neuromas. Such quantitative measurements may demonstrate trigeminal and/or facial nerve deficits before clinical detection is possible and thus be of value in the early diagnosis of acoustic neuromas.
