Abstract
A time-of-flight system utilizing localized scattering has enabled observations to be made on positrons scattered inelastically by helium gas. Preliminary values for the total inelastic cross section ranging from 0.6 to 0.45 pi a02 have been deduced for positrons with energies between 50 and 170 eV.Keywords
