Abstract
Zeolite facies assemblages are identified in a coastal section of Devonian rocks on Chaleur Bay, northeastern New Brunswick. This is apparently the first report of the occurrence of this facies in Paleozoic rocks of the Appalachian belt. Analcime and quartz are abundant in the basal palagonite tuff of the Lower Devonian Dalhousie Group in the type section east of Dalhousie and in similar rock at stratigraphically equivalent localities throughout the Silurian–Devonian fold belt. Keywords
