Activated Dyes as Antitumor Agents

Abstract
Retardation or, under certain conditions, temporary arrest in growth of a mouse mammary carcinoma implanted subcutaneously in albino mice, was accomplished by exposure of the tumor to activating visible light of the appropriate wavelength after preferential incorporation of fluorescein. Neither the dye alone nor the light alone had any effect.
