Abstract
A detailed investigation of the factors affecting the accuracy that can be achieved in a given intensity-fluctuation measurement by clipped photon-correlation spectroscopy is given. The effects of different normalization methods, selection of clip level, spatial and temporal integration over detector area and sample time, and varying count rate are investigated. Comparison is made with theoretical predictions and also with computer simulation. Keywords
