Abstract
The performance characteristics of several types of flashlamp- and N2-laser-pumped dye prism ring lasers have been investigated. A tuning range covering the whole visible spectrum was observed with bandwidths from 0.5 nm to 0.03 pm. Diffraction-limited output with power level up to 150 kW in multimode operation at high input energies and 2 kW in single-mode operation of the flashlamp-pumped version was obtained in the spectral range of rhodamine 6G.Keywords
