The Treatment of Obesity1

Abstract
Many obese patients fail to lose wt. on a reducing diet with occasional small doses of thyroid probably because they are unable to restrict themselves to the prescribed food; they are also resistant to various medicinal agents often recommended for decreasing the appetite; these agents probably have no intrinsic value in the treatment of obesity.
