Abstract
Three sunflower mitochondrial HindIII restriction fragments containing the tRNA genes trnl, trnE and trnfM have been sequenced. The genes are present in single copy on the whole genome and are transcribed. Hybridization experiments and sequence analysis of the HindIII fragments allowed the precise mapping and orientation of each gene on the sunflower mitochondrial genome. Keywords
