Abstract
Colchicine intravenously in 10 patients appeared to have only temporary effects as far as regression of the lesions of Hodgkin''s disease is concerned, and when used alone is inferior to other methods now available. It has potent antipyretic and analgesic effects. It does, however, at times induce a demonstrable decline in the size of the enlarged glands in Hodgkin''s disease, and its toxicity appears to be less than that seen with the nitrogen mustard group of drugs, the use of which is limited by their marked depressing effect on the hemato-poietic tissues. Keywords
