Abstract
The ground state of a binary mixture of bosons is analyzed with a Jastrow-type function. The resulting Euler-Lagrange equations obtained through minimization of the hypernetted-chain energy has been studied. The stability condition for the pair-distribution functions and the total compressibility of the mixture are presented. The formalism is then applied to a neutral mixture of charged bosons. The structure functions and the radial distribution functions are given together with the total energy and pressure for various values of the interparticle separation .
