Sc(OTf)3- and TfOH-Catalyzed Baeyer-Villiger Oxidation of Carbonyl Compounds with m-Chloroperbenzoic Acid

Abstract
An efficient method for Baeyer-Villiger oxidation of carbonyl compounds to the corresponding esters/lactones has been developed using m-chloroperbenzoic acid in the presence of a catalytic amount of Sc(OTf)3 or TfOH.
