Abstract
Rowe and Aspnes have calculated the effect of a Slater-Koster interaction, or contact exciton, on the electroreflectance line shape of a semiconductor. We comment that their result is equivalent with the Lorentz-Lorenz result for the effect of a local electric field. Keywords
