Abstract
Zone-refined aluminium single crystals, 1 mm thick, with dislocation densities 102 lines per cm2, have been produced by the strain-anneal technique using a very slow cooling rate, 4°c per hour. The dislocations were revealed by Lang's x-ray diffraction technique. Loops, helices, and dislocation sources are observed. Keywords
