Abstract
By 1995, it is estimated that one-half of all interorganization business documents will be transmitted between corporations by way of electronic data interchange (EDI). Transmitting business data through communications networks is commonplace in many industries. However, a variety of other strategic and operational reasons are even more fundamental to the decision to adopt EDI.Keywords
