On the reliability of the inversion of the Arrhenius rate law

Abstract

A numerical test of the reliability of the Slater–Forst procedure for the inversion of the Arrhenius rate law is presented using the theoretical data for the reactions N₂O → N₂ + O and CO₂ → CO + O reported previously: the test results are positive. The sensitivity of the procedure to variations in the Arrhenius parameters is also examined.
