Limits on neutrino oscillations in the Fermilab narrow-band beam

Abstract

A search for neutrino oscillations was made using the Fermilab narrow-band neutrino beam and the 15-ft bubble chamber. No positive signal for neutrino oscillations was observed. The 90%-C.L. upper limits for

ν_{μ} \to ν_{e}

ν_{μ} \to ν_{τ}

, and

ν_{μ} ↛ ν_{e}

were found to be

R_{μ \to e} < 0.56 \times 10^{3}

R_{μ \to τ} < 4.4 \times 10^{- 2}

, and

R_{e ↛ e} < 0.27
