Abstract
The Hg(3P1) photosensitized reaction of hydrogen with acetylene has been investigated with particular emphasis being placed on the identification of products and their dependence on hydrogen pressure. The results have been interpreted in terms of a number of elementary reactions in which vinyl and ethyl radicals play an important part. Keywords
