Abstract
The interdisciplinary team is the cornerstone of exemplary early services. For the team to function effectively, members must be cognizant of the effects of group dynamics on team decision making. This article reviews the major points identified and detailed during Project BRIDGE, a highly successful educational program for interdisciplinary teams providing early services. Individual characteristics, group characteristics, and situational factors are discussed as they relate to the processes teams use in carrying out their goal of providing early services.
