Abstract
A further consideration is made to support the proposition, given in a previous paper, that only intrinsic first class constraints are associated with gauge degrees of freedom. Our argument is based on the consistency requirement between the Lagrangian and the Hamiltonian formalisms, reducibility conditions of gauge degrees of freedom and gauge fixing conditions in the quantization procedure by means of the Dirac bracket method. Keywords
