Abstract
Sampling of serum from the [human] inferior petrosal sinus can provide important information about the source [microadenoma] of elevated ACTH levels. This often leads to improved results of pituitary surgery for Cushing disease. A successful catheterization technique is described and the venous anatomy of the inferior petrosal sinuses and basilar plexus is illustrated [by venography].This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
