Abstract
A Roux-en-Y duodenojejunostomy was used as treatment of pancreaticobiliary disease associated with duodenal diverticula in 3 patients with good results. This approach removes the diverticulum from the food stream, thereby solving the problems of recurrent cholangitis and pancreatitis caused by food stasis in the diverticulum, without having to excise the diverticulum or perform a gastrectomy and vagotomy. This publication has 10 references indexed in Scilit:
