Abstract
The hadronic width of the J/ψ is anomalously small when compared with that of the Υ in standard QCD in the nonrelativistic approximation. We discuss the extent to which current ideas concerning relativistic corrections and/or supplementing QCD with a light gluino can reconcile these measurements with each other and with other low energy data including that from lattice calculations and from τ decay. Keywords
