Abstract
A method for the extraction of thorium and cerium, using tri-n-octyl amine (TOA) as the extractant, is described. A 5% solution of TOA extracts these ions from a 0.1 M succinic acid solution, adjusted to pH 6–7. The extracted species is [(RNH+)2M (C4H4O3)3 −2Keywords
