Deficiency of intestinal enterokinase results in failure to thrive, diarrhea, anemia, hypoproteinemia and edema. A case arising in the neonatal period is described, in which several of the characteristic features were lacking. Difficulties encountered in the diagnosis and methods of assay are discussed. Keywords
