Abstract
Maps of consciousness describe areas of the psyche to be explored through the medium of programmed music. Induction techniques and music stimuli evoke imagery of all the senses to allow subjects access to intense feeling states. The technique of Guided Imagery and Music (GIM) is en effective tool in individual and group psychiatric application and as a projective device for personal growth in the normal population. Instructions as to procedure and illustrations taken from personal accounts are included. Keywords
