Wetting of a disordered substrate

Abstract
We consider wetting phenomena on a substrate which is disordered due to the presence of random impurities or defects. We show that critical wetting may not be affected by such disorder, but that a first-order wetting transition in the pure system is driven continuous by it.Keywords
