Abstract
Experiments were performed to test the effectiveness of a recent kinetic theory of plasma wave resonances in a warm inhomogeneous plasma column. The calculation and measurements are compared qualitatively with regard to resonance wave forms and quantitatively with regard to resonance location. An approximate comparison is made with calculations based on velocity moments of the Vlasov equation. Keywords
