Form Factor Ratio $ξ$ from a Measurement of $K_{μ 3}^{+} : K_{e 3}^{+}$ Branching Ratio

Abstract

By measuring the branching ratio of

K_{μ 3}^{+}

relative to

K_{e 3}^{+}

we have arrived at a value of

ξ (0) = \frac{f_{-} (0)}{f_{+} (0)} = - 0.08 \pm 0.15

. This is in good agreement with the Callan-Treiman relation.
