Large Retroperitoneal Myelolipoma Associated with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia

Abstract
A 74-year-old man presented with a large retroperitoneal tumor and died following an attempt at surgical excision. Examination of the surgical specimen and postmortem study revealed acute myeloblasts leukemia with secondary leukemic infiltration of an enormous retroperitoneal myelolipoma. This unique association may have been caused by a prolonged stimulus of hematopoiesis.
