Abstract
The index‐of‐reaction equation, dF/d(tz) = k'(1‐βF)m, generalizes the linear, competing‐nuclei, Austin‐Rickett, limited‐extent, and other kinetic equations for the reaction of solids. It is also a good approximation for both parabolic kinetics and simple diffusion. Keywords
