Abstract
Photo-induced currents and voltages have been investigated in pure and transition metal doped LiNbO3-crystals in the spectral range between 1.5 and 4.0 eV. The currents and voltages depending on impurities and chemical treatments are responsible for the light-induced refractive index changes in these crystals. The results yield information on the energy levels of photorefractive centres. Keywords
