The Treatment of Specific Dyslexia in a Community Mental Health Centre

Abstract
A major program for the diagnosis and treatment of specific dyslexia was established in the Marathon County (Wisconsin) Child Guidance Clinic. Funded by the Woodson Foundation and the Mental Hygiene Division of the State of Wisconsin, the clinic has been functioning for nearly two years. This paper reports the experience of the first year of operation of the clinic and analyzes the first fifty completed cases.
