Ontogenetic migration and the distribution of Eucalanus bungii (Copepoda; Calanoida) in British Columbia inlets

Abstract
The distribution of Eucalanus bungii Giesbrecht (1892) in selected British Columbia inlets is examined. At least part of the population undergoes a vertical migration during the life cycle. The geographic distribution is suggested to be controlled by topographic features of the inlets and by the time of the vertical migration with respect to water movement into the inlets.
