Abstract
Suppliers offering temporary price reductions may impose restrictions on special order sizes at die temporarily-reduced price. Buyers may be restricted to purchase a compulsory minimum order size or select from a limited number of available order quantities at the reduced price. This paper derives optimal ordering rules in response to supplier restrictions on special order sizes that accompany temporary price reductions. Keywords
