Abstract
Heterodyne detection at 10.6 μm using fast‐response‐time thin‐film bolometer infrared detectors is described. With a local oscillator power of 1 W, the minimum detectable power is found to be 4×10−11 W/Hz. Good agreement is found between experimental results and theory. Keywords
