Abstract
The azapeptide derivative 12 is obtained in a 7‐step synthesis by coupling the components 5 and 11 in the last step. Whereas the azaamino acid residue in 5 is generated by a hydrazine/isocyanate addition, the other coupling steps are done using the carbodiimide/HOBt method. Compound 12 could be shown to inhibit the enzyme renin. Keywords
