Chemical control ofAscochyta fabaeinVicia faba

Abstract
Preliminary investigations into the chemical control of Ascochyta fabae in field beans by seed treatment showed that the disease incidence may be significantly reduced with benomyl and benomyl/captan treatments. Where the disease was already established in a crop, chlorothalonil was shown to be the most effective foliar spray among other chemicals in reducing the level of leaf infection, defoliation, pod infection, and seed infection.
