Abstract
Preliminary investigations into the chemical control of Ascochyta fabae in field beans by seed treatment showed that the disease incidence may be significantly reduced with benomyl and benomyl/captan treatments. Where the disease was already established in a crop, chlorothalonil was shown to be the most effective foliar spray among other chemicals in reducing the level of leaf infection, defoliation, pod infection, and seed infection. Keywords
