Follicular Occlusion Triad in a Follicular Blocking Disease (Pityriasis Rubra Pilaris)

Abstract
A 26-year-old colored man had generalized pityriasis rubra pilaris 2 1/2 years prior to the development of the follicular occlusion triad. Chronic poral occlusion may be 1 of the important factors in the pathogenesis of the hidradenitis suppurativa, dissecting cellulitis of the scalp, and acne conglobata.
