Abstract
By better understanding and assessment of the nasal obstruction, multiple operations may be avoided by performing bony inlet surgery either as a combined or singular procedure. When a combined procedure is contemplated, it is best to do the pyramid surgery 1st and add a septal procedure, if necessary. Nasal obstruction due to bony inlet stenosis is a well recognized condition. A limited excision of the nasal pyramid at the pyriform margin relieves the obstruction. The awareness of prevalence of the condition and application of the simple procedure can avoid unnecessary, extensive or multiple operations. It could, in some cases, replace submucous resection, which although popular, is not always successful or entirely free from complications. This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
