Abstract
The passbands of the MACHO blue and red photometric bands have been synthesized and tested by comparing the synthetic photometry of the Vilnius spectra with the actual photometry of the Landolt field Ru 149 taken with the MACHO telescope. Transformations between Bma and Rma and standard Cousins V and R were derived. The effect of interstellar reddening on the V-R and Bma-Rma colors of F stars has been calculated. A new calibration of V-R, Teff, and BCV for metal-poor A-K stars is presentedKeywords
