Abstract
In a case-control prospective study of 297 cats with feline infectious anemia (FIA), 6 developed feline leukemia (FeL) as compared with 0.5 expected (P<0.005). A relationship between the diseases apparently existed but causality could not be implied because of the short periods between diagnoses of the 2 conditions: prodromal FeL may have activated a latent FIA infection or FIA may have triggered FeL.Keywords
