Abstract
A convenient α-hydroxyalkylation of vinyl ketones is accomplished by the coupling reaction of vinyl ketone and aldehyde, where rhodium(I) enolate derived from HRh(PPh3)4 plays an important role in the carbon–carbon bond forming step.Keywords
