Anti-M Antibody as a Cause of Intrauterine Death: A Follow-Up

Abstract
A patient is reported who had multiple stillbirths due to incompatibility involving the red blood cell factor M. One living M-negative child had no difficulties during pregnancy or after delivery. The antibody was unusual in that it showed behavior suggesting an immune rather than a "naturally occurring" antibody. It was shown to be composed entirely of 7S gamma-globulin and it passed freely through the placenta.
