Abstract
A technique has been developed for measuring transit times over ranges of the order of 100 km with a precision of about 1 psec. One-way transmission is used for the optical signal with the resulting increase in received light intensity over two-way systems. A preliminary model has been tested over a 65-km path in Hawaii and the results are given. Keywords
