Abstract
Rf values were found to be reproducible and sufficiently specific to distinguish glucose, lactose, levulose, xylose and galactose. Paper chromatography was simplified by the use of standard paper holders and common-size glass containers, allowing 16 hrs. for migration and developing with 3,5-dinitrosalicylic acid in 4%NaOH.Keywords
