Abstract
A few cases of localized giant polyposis, complicating inflammatory disease of the bowel, have been reported. In each of these cases, a segmental radiologic abnormality resulted in suspicion of malignancy, and the true nature of the abnormality was discovered at operation. Colonoscopy and biopsy may yield the correct diagnosis and obviate the need for laparotomy. A case of localized giant pseudopolyposis complicating Crohn''s disease in which the diagnosis was made by colonoscopy, is described. This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
