Abstract
A technique is examined for improving the performance of a Salisbury screen radar absorber by covering it with an optimally spaced, high permittivity skin. By this means, it is possible to increase the absorber reflectivity-bandwidth product at normal incidence, or to realise an absorber which at oblique incidence has equal bandwidths for both parallel and perpendicular polarisations simultaneously. Keywords
